Like so many are saying, I join them when I say - WOW - where did 2012 go. It went by so quickly. For us, 2012 was a year filled with many adventures, half the year in Canada, half the year in the Dominican Republic, a time of many difficulties, many blessings and that faithfulness of God walking every step with us and always being with us no matter what. As this year comes to an end, we want to take a moment to thank God for all that He did for us throughout the year. We want to thank you for all your love, prayers and support of us, our family and ministry throughout the year.

At church today, the guest Pastor asked "What did you learn new from God this year?" I thought about this most of the day. I learned a lot this year from God but I think that what made the biggest impact on me was not so much something new that I learned but rather God reminding me that He knows what is best for my life and when I follow Him and His will, all will be fine - the importance of putting all my trust in God, my Daddy - He will never fail me!

As we look ahead to 2013, we see that the beginning will be busy. We have three mission teams coming in three months. January's team is 4 people, February is 15 people and March is 30 people. We will continue with home schooling for Noah and Samantha. Both kids are also continuing in soccer. Paul starts a new course from Prairie Bible and continues to learn guitar.

Monumental Dates in 2013 include:
February the clinic celebrates 10 years.
May we will celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary and 18 years in full time missions.
June we celebrates 16 years in the Dominican Republic.
July Samantha turns 11.
August Noah turns 13 - and he is counting every day until then 

We will start the New Year by heading down to Santo Domingo on Wednesday to renew our residencies and Dominican ID. Our IDs expired while we were in Canada and we thought that our residencies expire in April. However, we pulled out our residency cards yesterday only to discover that our memory seems to be fading and failed us as April is not when they expire but October was when they expired! Oops. So - we head down to Immigration on Wednesday to renew the residencies and pay a fine for each month that they have expired. Your prayers are appreciated for safe travels to Santo Domingo (3 hr drive one way) and that the process of renewing everything goes very quickly and smoothly, without any problems. Thank you.

I do not want this to be long so I will sign off and let you go. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! May God bless you and your family each and every day in 2013. Remember that on the days with difficulties and the days with ease, God is always with you! He never leaves us when we open our hearts to Him.
